Maltese Cross Beading Tutorial

This is a step-by-step tutorial for Maltese Cross as pictured above in 3 colorways. This open double-sided cross measures approximately 2'' tall x 2'' wide (5 cm x 5 cm). The tutorial contains clear instructions and pictures. A materials list is also included. This design can be done either by using a peyote start (it involves stringing on all of the beads of your first two rows) or by using a reusable Jay Dee Casting Spine made out of a pod developed by Contemporary Geometric Beadwork. Experience level required: intermediate to advanced, and experience with peyote stitch and herringbone increases.
