Byzantine Cross Beading Tutorial

This is a step-by-step tutorial for Byzantine Cross as pictured above. This open double-sided cross measures approximately 2,7'' tall x 2,4'' wide (7 cm x 6 cm). The tutorial contains clear instructions and pictures. A materials list is also included. This design is done by using a reusable Jay Dee Casting Spine made out of a pod developed by Contemporary Geometric Beadwork. EDIT: There is an addendum which includes instructions with a peyote start for the 1st three rounds. Experience level required: intermediate to advanced, and experience with peyote stitch and herringbone increases. This pattern is for beaders who are able to work from a Casting Pod or Spine and is definitely not suitable for beginner beaders.
